More Old Family Photos

My great-grandma, or as we all called her "grandmommy," (bottom left is of she and I) and I spent a lot of time together when I was little. The pic in the bottom right hand corner is of my foxy grandma when she was younger...I can only hope that I inherited her aging genes...she's still just as beautiful as ever. My cute dad (age 6) is in the middle on the bottom and middle left...what a stud! The very middle pic is of me and one of our dogs when she was a pup. Middle right is grandmommy and my great grandpa or "poppy."

Discover your temperament

So, I found this website that is very interesting. You can take this quiz that tells you your temperament. Your temperament can affect all of your relationships in life, and so I thought this was pretty helpful info. Here is my profile:

The Guardian
Guardians are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services--from supervision to maintenance and supply--and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses.

Guardians can have a lot of fun with their friends, but they are quite serious about their duties and responsibilities. Guardians take pride in being dependable and trustworthy; if there's a job to be done, they can be counted on to put their shoulder to the wheel. Guardians also believe in law and order, and sometimes worry that respect for authority, even a fundamental sense of right and wrong, is being lost. Perhaps this is why Guardians honor customs and traditions so strongly--they are familiar patterns that help bring stability to our modern, fast-paced world.

Practical and down-to-earth, Guardians believe in following the rules and cooperating with others. They are not very comfortable winging it or blazing new trails; working steadily within the system is the Guardian way, for in the long run loyalty, discipline, and teamwork get the job done right. Guardians are meticulous about schedules and have a sharp eye for proper procedures. They are cautious about change, even though they know that change can be healthy for an institution. Better to go slowly, they say, and look before you leap.

Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population.

The Ahlstrom Family...
So I'm kind of into reminiscing about my past recently, and I came across this photo of my mom and dad, me and my two brothers, Jacob and Matthew(the baby). This is the very first time that I attempted to do my own hair, and you can definitely tell.

How Can I Become the Woman of Whom I Dream?

“You are the creatures of divinity. You are daughters of the Almighty. Limitless is your potential. Magnificent is your future, if you will take control of it. Do not let your lives drift in a fruitless and worthless manner.” Find purpose in your life. Choose the things you would like to do, and educate yourselves to be effective in their pursuit. Study your options. Pray to the Lord earnestly for direction. Then pursue your course with resolution. The sky is the limit! You control to a large degree your own destiny. Begin this very day! Spend your energies doing those things that will make a difference.

Bill's Birthday!

This last Saturday was Bill's birthday. His family flew in on Friday night, and so we got to hang out with them. They got a killer rate at the Biltmore hotel which was a treat in itself. On Saturday we hung out with family all day and then went to Houston's for dinner. Following dinner we had some friends meet us at the Biltmore hotel's swimming pool where we were able to snag a really neat gazebo. We preordered a chocolate cake (the biggest and richest cake I've ever seen) from the Cheesecake Factory. It was so fun! I love celebrations in general, but I especially love birthdays!
